The Harkness Foundation is accepting applications for their Dance Grants. Description The Harkness Foundation for Dance is a private grant-making foundation dedicated to invigorating and supporting the dance art fo rm, predominantly in New York City. Since its inception the Foundation has contributed significantly to the dance field, extending grants to over 560 organizations. The Harkness Board of Trustees meets three times annually to consider proposals.

Dread Scott is a community-engaged artist and his fiscally-sponsored project, Slave Rebellion Reenactment, was a winner of the 2016 MAP Fund Award. Taking place in New Orleans, Louisiana, November 8-9, 2019, the Slave Rebellion Reenactment is a community-engaged artistic performance and film production.

The California Arts Council is accepting applications for their Arts & Public Media Opportunity. Description Arts and Public Media supports multiplatform media projects by nonprofit media organizations that build public awareness and support for the arts. Supported projects engage Californians with authentic local stories and experiences centered on the value of arts, culture, and creative expression within California.

Fiscal sponsorship is something that a lot of folks don’t know about or realize can be an option for funding their work. At its core, fiscal sponsorship is a relationship with a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that enables individuals, collectives, and other groups to enjoy some of the benefits of the sponsoring organization’s nonprofit tax status.

The New York Foundation for the Arts is accepting applications for The NYC Women’s Fund for Media, Music and Theatre. Description: The NYC Women’s Fund for Media, Music and Theatre provides grants to encourage and support the creation of digital, film, music, television, and live theatre content that reflects the voices and perspectives of all who identify as women.

Adriene Thorne, Dusty Francis, and Dionne McClain-Freeney, is the creator of “Habitat: Home,” a nationwide community-building project powered by art. Through collaborative making and multidisciplinary performances about ‘home,’ artists and residents across America work toward a more peaceful, healthy country. Julia is based in Brooklyn, New York and has been a Fractured Atlas member for almost a year.

Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation is accepting applications for USArtists International (USAI). Description: USArtists International supports performances by U.S. artists at important cultural festivals and arts marketplaces around the globe. Committed to the presence of U.S.-based artists on world stages, USArtists International provides grants to ensembles and individual performers in dance, music and theatre invited to perform at significant international festivals and performing arts markets.

by Molaundo Jones, Social Media Specialist at Fractured Atlas Eva Steinmetz, co-creator of “The Boy Project” Eva Steinmetz is co-creator of “The Boy Project,” a theater piece in which Philadelphia boys ages 12–15 imagine their futures as men. Eva is based in Philadelphia and has been a member of Fractured Atlas since November 2017. “The Boy Project” currently has a fundraising campaign running on our crowdfunding site, Fundraising by Fractured Atlas.

Stewart Wilson, creator of Personaland, in a Motion Capture suit (for CGI) Stewart Wilson is creator of “Personaland,” an online global community that is dedicated to supporting artists of all media. “Personaland” is hosted by “the Personas,” a collection of over 31,000 individual digital sculptures designed by Stewart. He was inspired to create “Personaland” through a chance meeting at Artwell with game designer, Kwame Antwi. Using 21st century digital technologies, “the Personas” have come alive in their world and can interact with an international community.
