Lower Manhattan Cultural Council offers two resource programs with early September application deadlines. MacDowell provides time, space, and an inspiring residential environment in Peterborough, New Hampshire, that includes a studio, accommodation, and meals for up to six weeks. Banff Centre Residencies
Banff Centre in Alberta, Canada, offers three residency programs with September application deadlines. The Winter Writers Residency invites writers in all creative genres seeking a period of dedicated time to work on a project in any genre. Write Over Here is a screenwriting residency where dedicated Indigenous writers are invited to engage with faculty to support the development of their scripts. The Banff Musicians in Residence program provides space and focused time for musicians of all genres to concentrate on artistic development while working on projects. The Virginia Center for the Creative Arts (VCCA) offers residency and international exchange programs for support artists in producing works of literature, visual art, and music. The Mt. The International Human Rights Art Movement (IHRAM) offers two upcoming awards to artists. The Rhonda Gail Williford Award for Poetry awards cash prizes to the top three poems that incorporate themes of justice, dignity, and resistance. The Art of Unity Creative Award seeks submissions in any literary media, highlighting aspects of human unity and positive cross-pollination between groups, ethnicities, religions, and/or nations.
