Residencies at Surel’s Place in Garden City, Idaho, are open to professional visual, literary, and performance artists… any artist who needs a place to focus. The program includes a $100/wk living stipend and $300 travel stipend.

Library Company of Philadelphia Innovation Award
The Library Company of Philadelphia's Innovation Award recognizes a project that creatively expands the possibilities of humanistic scholarship on the history and culture of the United States or the Atlantic World from the 17th to the late 19th century. The award carries a prize of $2,500.

NAC Artist Fellowship
The National Arts Club (NAC) Artist Fellowship program provides a select number of established professional artists with twelve months of full membership. Global Legacies of Arts and Crafts: Call for Papers
Global Legacies of Arts and Crafts invite 15-minute papers on any topic that expands the study of arts and crafts and its legacies, and are particularly interested in topics or geographies not represented in the literature on arts and crafts. 8X5 Houston
SaveArtSpace and Art at a Time Like This (ATLT) have partnered to present the Houston, Texas, edition of 8X5, a nationwide public art campaign named for the size of an average prison cell. This public intervention presents the work of artists responding to mass incarceration and inequalities in the justice system. Selected artworks will be displayed on billboards, kiosks, and digital trucks. Artists at all stages of their careers are encouraged to apply.

Breck Create Artist-in-Residence

Bloedel Reserve Creative Residency
The mission of the Creative Residency program at Bloedel Reserve in Bainbridge Island, Washington, is to foster creative thinking that is inspired by nature and that explores the connection between humans and the environment. Lower East Side Printshop Keyholder Residency
The Keyholder Residency program at Lower East Side Printshop in New York City offers emerging artists free 24-hour access to printmaking facilities to develop new work and foster their artistic careers. The Helen M. Salzburg Visiting Artist Fellowship is a new initiative at Palm Beach State College that aims to provide support for contemporary visual artists in Palm Beach County, Florida. The selected artist receives an endowment of $6,000.

KHN Residency
The Kimmel Harding Nelson (KHN) Center for the Arts in Nebraska City awards up to 70 residencies per year to established and emerging visual artists, writers, composers, and interdisciplinary artists from across the country and around the world. Connecting Communities Digital Initiative (CCDI) Grants
The Library of Congress’s Connecting Communities Digital Initiative offers two grants this month. The CCDI Grant for Higher Education supports minority serving higher education institutions in the development of projects that use Library of Congress digital materials and that center one or more of the following groups: Black, Indigenous, Hispanic or Latino, Asian American and Pacific Islander, and/or other communities of color in the 50 US states, the District of Columbia, territories and commonwealths. The CCDI Grant for Libraries, Archives, Museums provides support to libraries, archives, and museums that use Library of Congress materials to create projects that center one or more of the aforementioned groups.

Southern Prize and State Fellowships for Literary Arts
South Arts’ Southern Prize and State Fellowships for Literary Arts support, acknowledge, and celebrate writers in South Arts’ nine-state region. The genre for the 2024 cycle is Fiction. A national jury will select one winner per state, for a group of nine State Fellows based on artistic excellence that reflects the diversity of the region, each of whom will receive a $5,000 award. The $25,000 Southern Prize will be awarded to the literary artist whose work demonstrates the highest artistic excellence.

Rauschenberg Dancer Emergency Grant
New York Foundation for the Arts' Rauschenberg Dancer Emergency Grant program will provide one-time grants of up to $3,000 to professional dancers in need, who are in dire financial emergency. Common circumstances include cancelled performances, cutbacks or cancellations of dance engagement contracts, loss of touring opportunities, and ongoing shutdowns due to the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact.

New Voices Open Call
New Voices is Print Center New York’s annual open call program, which provides opportunities for a curator-selected cohort of six to eight printmaking artists to present their work and develop their practices through a group exhibition, artist-led public programming, focused conversation and community building, and individualized resources for artistic and professional development. Each artist will receive an unrestricted artist fee of $2,500.

MacDowell Fellowship
The MacDowell Fellowship provides artists at any stage in their careers with exclusive use of a studio, accommodations, and three prepared meals a day for up to six weeks in Peterborough, New Hampshire. Erie Canal Museum Artist in Residence
The Erie Canal Museum in Syracuse, New York, is seeking three artists for a one-year lens-based residency. The program will focus on the Erie Canal, contemplating its current condition, activating the landscape and public spaces, and considering its potential future. Projects may be journalistic, documentary, or conceptual, and may include and/or be accompanied by text/writing. Each artist will receive a $10,000 artist stipend. The Joyce Awards
The Joyce Awards is the only regional program dedicated to supporting artists of color in major Great Lakes cities. Beam Center Open Calls
Beam Center seeks design proposals for ambitious public artworks that will be brought to life through collaborations between youth and creative big thinkers. Selected project artists receive a $5,000 award and an approximately $15,000 fabrication budget.

The Design Trust for Public Space is looking for photographers to apply for its Photo Urbanism Fellowship. This year's fellow will work with the Green Space Connections project, documenting community-designed green space at NYC public housing developments. Monument Lab Artist Residency
Through the theme of exchange, Monument Lab’s Artist Residency program supports emerging public artists to evolve their practice and prepare for future large-scale monument commission opportunities while building stronger relationships within and across the neighborhoods of Philadelphia. Two Philadelphia emerging artists will be selected to create prototype projects, along with a $10,000 artist stipend, a $20,000 production budget, and $7,500 in support for neighborhood-based partners and programming.

The Lewis Center for the Arts at Princeton University offers two artist fellowship opportunities. VCCA Residencies and International Exchanges
The Virginia Center for the Creative Arts (VCCA) provides time and space for writers, visual artists, and composers in the form of residencies and international exchange programs. Residencies at Mt. San Angelo in Amherst, Virginia, and the Moulin à Nef in Auvillar, France, last anywhere from a week to two months. International Exchanges in Schwandorf, Germany, and Salzburg, Austria, offers the opportunity for artists to see their work within the context of a new culture. Aimed at emerging and mid-career artists, True/False Film Fest is offering a five-week virtual artist-in-residency program.
