Yaddo offers residencies to professional creative artists from all nations and backgrounds working in one or more of the following disciplines: choreography, film, literature, musical composition, painting, performance, photography, printmaking, sculpture, and video. Residencies last from two weeks to two months and include room, board and a studio.

AORTA Cohort Programs
AORTA (Anti-Oppression Resource & Training Alliance) offers two cohort programs. The Confluence Organizational Equity Learning Cohort explores how to nurture the conditions for change in an organization and develop a shared understanding of systemic oppression and identify ways to address inequity within organizations. The Tidelines Coaching Cohort was launched to help shared leadership teams build greater capacity for shared leadership.

Peters Valley Residencies
Peters Valley School of Craft is currently seeking artists who work in blacksmithing, ceramics, fibers, fine metals, wood, drawing/painting/collage, or printmaking for two residency programs. The Maxwell/Hanrahan Guest Artist Residency offers a private room in a fully furnished shared house, unlimited access to a fully equipped studio, and an artist stipend. The New Jersey Craft Artist Residency is open to artists who reside in New Jersey.

Community Commissions: Partners - Request for Proposals
The New York City Department of Transportation (NYC DOT) is seeking interested community-based organizations, nonprofits, galleries, and business improvement districts to collaborate on commissioning temporary public art for display. NYC DOT will provide up to $20,000 towards direct project costs for sculptural work or two-dimensional work.

The Betty Bowen Award
Administered by the Seattle Art Museum, the Betty Bowen Award honors a Northwest artist for their original, exceptional, and compelling work. The winner is awarded an unrestricted cash prize of $15,000. The award is open to visual artists in all media working in Washington, Oregon, or Idaho.

Bemis Center Residencies
Bemis Center offers two programs that provide dedicated time, space, and resources to conduct research and to create new work. The Artist-in-Residence program is a process-based experience, giving residents the ability to research, experiment, and explore free from expectations. The Curator-in-Residence program provides national curators the opportunity to participate in the Bemis Residency Program, serve as a professional resource to Bemis artists-in-residence and the Greater Omaha arts community, and organize exhibitions and public programs at Bemis Center.

Art and Change Grant
Leeway Foundation’s Art and Change Grant provides grants of up to $2,500 to fund art for social change projects by women, trans, and/or gender nonconforming artists and cultural producers living in Greater Philadelphia. The program is open to applicants working in any medium and must have a project supported by or in collaboration with a Change Partner (a person, organization, or business that is a part of the project in some way).

Cross-Sector Impact Grant
South Arts’ Cross-Sector Impact Grants of up to $15,000 support “arts and…” projects developed by partners – one arts organization or artist, and one non-arts organization – harnessing the power of collaboration. Both partners must be located/reside in South Arts’ nine-state region, and at least one of the partners must be a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization, an official local, county, or state government (including an institution of higher education), or a federally recognized tribal community that has a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) number.

Northwest Film Forum’s Lynn Shelton “Of a Certain Age” Grant is a project-based award that provides $25,000 to an individual woman, nonbinary, and/or transgender US filmmaker, age 39 or older, who is working on their first narrative feature as a director.

Our Town
Through project-based funding, the National Endowment for the Arts’ grants program Our Town supports activities that integrate arts, culture, and design into local efforts that strengthen communities over the long term. Grants range from $25,000 to $150,000, with a minimum nonfederal cost share/match equal to the grant amount. All applications are submitted by one organization and require one partner organization. The pair must include a nonprofit organization and a local government or quasi-government entity.

Landecker Democracy Fellowship
Humanity in Action’s Landecker Democracy Fellowship annually supports diverse changemakers in unpacking and addressing historic and contemporary systems of inequity. Applicants must be born in or after 1983 and based in the European Union, Ukraine, the UK, or the US.

In Practice Open Call
SculptureCenter's annual open call for artists, In Practice, invites artists who have not yet had an institutional solo exhibition in New York City to submit proposals for solo exhibitions in designated gallery spaces at SculptureCenter. Proposals should reflect a production budget of up to $6,000, and participating artists will receive a separate honorarium of $1,000.

Artists in Business Leadership Fellowship
First Peoples Fund’s Artists in Business Leadership Fellowship partners with Native artists and culture bearers to strengthen their business skills and ensure that art, culture, and ancestral knowledge are shared from one generation to the next. The program provides $10,000 in working capital funds. Applicants must be an enrolled member or provide proof of lineal descendancy of a US federally recognized tribe, or be an Alaska Native or Native Hawaiian.

CCDI Artist/Scholar in Residence
The Library of Congress’ Artist/Scholar in Residence program, part of the Connecting Communities Digital Initiative (CCDI), supports artists or scholars in the creation of new scholarly and/or artists works that imaginatively study, experiment with, and/or critique the Library’s digital collections, materials, and/or services. Diamonstein-Spielvogel Visual Journalism Fellowship
ProPublica is looking for a creative, empathetic, and ambitious visual journalist to join its editorial team as part of the Diamonstein-Spielvogel Visual Journalism Fellowship. The fellow will have the opportunity to work from either New York or one of ProPublica's regional offices in Atlanta, GA; Washington, D.C.; Chicago, IL; Phoenix, AZ; or Berkeley, CA; on investigative stories and long-form narratives. The two-year fellowship is full-time and includes a $75,000 salary and full benefits.

Frame Curatorial Research Fellowship
Frame is seeking candidates for two fellowships: the Curating with Pasts fellowship hosted by the Queens Museum in New York City and Soils, organized with Van Abbemuseum in Eindhoven, Netherlands. Anyone from anywhere in the world whose practice and interests connect to the frameworks of the fellowships are eligible to apply.

The Animacy of Objects
American Art, co-published by the Smithsonian American Art Museum and the University of Chicago Press, seeks to publish papers demonstrating cultural perspectives that recognize objects as animate beings. Authors are invited to submit brief essays in reply to this question: How does acknowledging and engaging with objects as animate beings – recognizing them as relatives and respecting that they carry a form of peoplehood – expose the knowledge they hold and carry, knowledge that is otherwise invisible and unrecognized? Selected authors will be compensated $500 each.

Centrum Artist Residencies
The Centrum Artists-In-Residence program welcomes writers, artists, and creative thinkers to immerse themselves in the surroundings of Fort Worden in Port Townsend, Washington. In the Making Residencies have public-facing components that could be a workshop, a temporary installation, or performance. The Emerging Artist & Writers Residency provides stipends, multiple resident gathers, visiting artists and curators, and an open studio/public reading. Self-Directed Residencies, which are largely solitary, are fee-based programs with fee-waived scholarships available.

The New York Academy of Medicine Library offers two annual research fellowships to support the advancement of scholarly research in the history of medicine and public health. The Audrey and William H. Milkweed Learning Hub & Chrysalis Micro-Residency
This fully-funded hybrid opportunity is offered by the Chrysalis Institute, whose mission is to nourish the creative trajectory of emerging BIPOC artists. The Milkweed Learning Hub is a virtual space where artists explore the intersection of identity and the creative process. The Studio at the Corning Museum of Glass serves as a host for residencies where artists may solely focus on their work and research. Gulf Coast Prizes
Gulf Coast is awarding three prizes this month. The Toni Beauchamp Prize in Critical Art Writing supports young and mid-career writers working in a variety of creative approaches and formats. The Barthelme Prize for Short Prose is open to flash fiction, prose poems, and micro-essays of 500 words or fewer. The Gulf Coast Prize in Translation is open for prose submissions, with the winner receiving $1,000 and publication in the journal.
